The 7th General Assembly of the METAVISION Doctoral Network concluded last week at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy. Project partners convened to review progress, celebrate achievements, and align on future goals, reinforcing the network’s commitment to advancing research and collaboration.
Training on Innovation Management
Ahead of the General Assembly, doctoral candidates participated in a dynamic training session on innovation management, expertly led by Andrea Boeri. The sessions delved into the intricate journey from scientific discovery to innovation, covering critical stages such as value creation, value capture, and scaling. Participants explored how corporations and startups navigate this process, with a special focus on the unique challenges faced by deep-tech ventures emerging from research environments.
A highlight of the training was a firsthand account from Phononic Vibes, who shared their experiences in scaling a deep-tech startup into a scaleup. Their insights provided invaluable perspectives on the opportunities and hurdles of this transition. The session wrapped up with group presentations and a lively discussion of a case study, fostering collaborative learning.
Finally, the General Assembly was held, where each doctoral candidate presented their PhD progress, showcasing the advancements and innovations driving the network forward.
