DCs Monisha Muralidharan M, Nicolas Herrera, and Noman Ahsan recently completed their demonstrator secondment in Coimbra, carried out in collaboration with Mota-Engil and the Universidade de Coimbra.

During this visit, the team focused on the design, construction, and experimental validation of their sonic crystal-based solution aimed at mitigating tram and railway noise. The outcomes of this secondment will be presented at ISMA 2026.
