METAVISION Project DCs Visit AIRBUS for Workshop on Aircraft Noise and Vibration

Last week, the Doctoral Candidates (DCs) of the METAVISION Project visited AIRBUS for a one-day workshop dedicated to aircraft noise and vibration issues and current noise control solutions.

The workshop provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, during which the DCs were immersed by AIRBUS experts in the challenges of managing noise and vibration in modern aircraft, as well as the strategies currently applied in industry to mitigate their impact.

As part of the visit, the DCs toured AIRBUS advanced acoustic testing facilities, including the anechoic chamber and reverberant chamber, where different approaches to acoustic measurement and noise characterization were presented. The visit also included a demonstration of the psychoacoustic simulator, highlighting how human perception of sound is evaluated and integrated into aircraft noise assessment and control.
